Vishuddha Marlies Schiereck has been singing all her life, ever since she could speak. In her youth was always music. Radio, LP's or playing quattre main with dad... With girlfriends and sisters she playbacked the Dolly Dots and ABBA. In highschool she sang in her first rockband "Crack", with covers by Level 42, Dire Straits, Tina Turner and Brian Adams. During her university time in Amsterdam, she was most famous for singing each year in the "Grote Prijs van Py", a students competition, with her band "Marlies & the Lovepumps", where she sang both Iron Maiden and ABBA.
Since 2004 she sings with all of her heart with Gita Vinanda. For her, there is no greater pleasure than making music together. "With Gita Vinanda I find myself, while disappearing completely. Music takes over from me. And with a little luck, we fly!!" |
